Triumph Repair: Wiper switch, jumper wires, kim hi

Question
Hello
I just purchased a 1973 Spitfire 1500, the wiper motor is working, and wiring is good to the switch, tested by jumping wires, but hooked to switch when I turn it on I get nothing, I am assuming my switch is bad. How do I remove the knob to remove the switch, it is the switch with the push pump for washer fluid. Thank you for any help.
Kim

Answer
Hi Kim,

On the side of the knob is a hole. Insert a pin punch a little smaller then the hole size and press in the punch hard as you pull on the knob. With the knob off you can see the bezel that holds the switch in. Unscrew the bezel to remove the switch.

You assume the switch is bad? Hmmmm? Where have I heard the word "Assume" before? You used the jumper wires to operate the wipers etc? If you did, I would also assume the switch is bad.
