Triumph Repair: Heater not working, spitfire mkiv, running power

Question
Hey I posted a while back with some wiring issues on my 1971 Spitfire MkIV, and thanks to your wiring diagram I have sorted out all my wiring issues and just need one thing finished and Im good to drive.

I have the heater blower motor hooked up, I tested that power is going as it should, and the ground works but nothing turns on. I tested running power straight to the motor and a ground straight to the battery and I get no reaction.

I'm thinking the motor is cooked or there is an interior problem, your opinion would be appreciated before I attempt to remove it. If you think I'll need to remove it to work on it, how is it attached?. Thanks in advance.

Answer
Hi Andrew,
It's been a long time since I worked on a 71 but as I remember the blower motor is attached to a plate that is attached to the heater box by 3 or 4 screws and the hole in the heater box is large enough to remove the cage fan out of the heater box you just removing the plate.
