Triumph Repair: tr 6 74 turn signal switch, turn signal switch, car harness

I replaced my turn signal switch, 3 wires (from Moss, the arm broke off)and what appeared to be simple connect has not been.  New unit came with 2 green wires and a dark blue that doesn't match any thing that I have in my harness. At best my car runs with the signal only blinking only the right front and rear no matter which way I indicate.  Do I have the right part? It appears identical except for the color.

I have run into that several times. The aftermarket switches sometimes does not have the correct color code to match the harness. What I had to do (if no instructions came with it) is to take a wiring diagram and look at what color wire did what on the car harness and then take a test light and power supply or and ohm meter and test each wire on the switch to see what connected to what and then match them up correctly. If you don't have a good car diagram let me know and I will put one on my web site for you to copy. Moss may have a diagram of the aftermarket switch but you would have to call them to see, if not get your ohm meter out and start testing and I can provide the diagram of the car.
