Triumph Repair: 74 tr6, charcoal canister, vent lines

Question
You recently had a question about "1975 TR6 stalls when hot"
My 74 tr6 is doing the same thing.
cleaned the fuel tank. replaced the fuel filter, are all in-line filters the same regarding flow, fuel pump pumps at 4 psi.  I can actually see no fuel in the clear fuel filter after about 10 min. of run time.  let it set overnight and fuel filter becomes half full of fuel.  I too cracked the filler cap and no change.
Thanks for you ideas.

Answer
Would be along the same lines.  Depending on how much emissions are still on the car, you may need to inspect all the emissions, charcoal canister, expansion tank, vent lines, etc.

The theory would still be the same; the fuel pump can't draw through enough fuel to replace what is being used; there may be a restriction in the line, the venting may be non-existent.

See if you can keep the filters with gas by having the fuel pump draw from a gas can or small container.  See if, under that condition, the filter remains full.

If not, try a new fuel pump.

If so, try replacing the fuel tank to fuel pump lines in total.

You may have sediment in the tank blocking the pickup. (check first)
