Triumph Repair: spitfire grease fittings, rear wheel bearings, grease fittings

I have a 1978 spit there are 2 grease fittings by each front wheel are there others and where are they located?

Hi Joe,
There were several grease points that should be greased on the Spitfire.
The factory installed hex plugs which were suppose to be removed and grease fittings installed at the dealership. One on the front lower king pin, one on the steering rack and on the lower point of the rear axle housings to grease the rear wheel bearings. When mechanics removed the hex plugs and put grease fittings in to grease the positions they would leave the fittings in, so if you find any of the hex plugs still in, there is a good chance that point has never been greased. Also examine the "U" joints as some came with grease fittings.
