Triumph Repair: Sagging leaf spring, air adjustable shocks, negative camber

Question
I have a 1980 Spitfire 1500, and I have the common problem of having the driver's side rear sagging down, giving the left rear wheel a slight negative camber. I've heard that adjustable shocks can correct that. Would that be as good as or better than simply buying a new transverse leaf spring?

Answer
Air adjustable shocks would certainly be an easier install; you could also get a spring shop to re-arch the spring.

I would also suggest checking all the bushings, both front and rear suspension; some of the sag may be due to a weak front spring, and bushing that have failed on the drivers side.
