Triumph Repair: Triumph info, triumph spitfire, flash switch

QUESTION: I worked all day trying to get the headlights to work.  I got the red wires(park lights ect.) all hooked up and working.  I came back the next day and they didn't work.  Any idea's?  What is a DIP/Flash Switch and where is it located?

Hi Fred,
Check for power on the master light switch (center of dash) the brown wire should be hot all the time. The switch supplies power to the tail lights etc by a red w/green tracer wire and the head lights are powered by a blue wire. If you have power there move to the plug connecter of the high/low /high beam flash switch on the steering column and test to see that power is getting there. Output from that switch to the head lights is by a blue w/white tracer wire and a blue w/red tracer wire to each headlight.
The red w/green wire from the main switch goes to a fuse then on to the tail lights and a branch goes to the instrument rheostat on the dash.
