Triumph Repair: Reverse gear, gear tooth, michel michel

Hi,

One of the teeth of the reverse gear of my laygear of my 1500 is damaged (it misses a piece). For me there is more than enough tooth left to use it again.

Any concerns about this?

Michel,

As long as most of the gear tooth is still there it should be ok.  Just keep in mind that you don't want to chip any more of the teeth, so you need to be at a complete stop and the clutch must be fully disengaged before going for reverse.
