Triumph Repair: 1500 block cyl sleeve, rimmerbros, cylinder wall

HMF III,
Spitsbits and Rimmerbros show a sleeve. Jim  in 10/14/06 answer says no sleeves. My shop needs to know before boring. Good shop but not used to LBC's. Do 1500 blocks have seleves?

Not loose sleeves. You can sleeve most engines if the cylinder wall is damaged but it is usually too expensive to do all cylinders just to get back to a standard bore.

I think you are getting into a terminology thing here. Some engines like the V-12 Jag have loose sleeves called "Wet Sleeves" but a solid block if damaged can be bored out and have a sleeve pressed in to correct a damaged bore in a good block. These are probably the "Sleeves" you found.
