Triumph Repair: Another question and a clarification, needle nose pliers, window winder

Question
I just sent a question about half an hour ago, and forgot a couple things.

First off, it's a White 1976 Spit, no modifications -- the only thing I've done is clean it and put in a new floor pan.

Secondly though, I forgot to ask about the windows.  The door windows sort of rattle when I drive and are awfully wobbly.  Do you know if there is just something that needs to be tightened or if I need a new part?

Thanks so much again,

Thomas

Answer
Thomas,

First thing to do is pull the door panel.  It's a pain removing the window crank but it can be done.. and with some fine tip needle nose pliers replacing the pin is also possible ;)

Check all the bolt that hold the window winder and window tracks to make sure they're tight.

If they are tight then it means that the felt lining in the tracks is probably worn.

Cheers,
