Triumph Repair: Bleeding the clutch system on 1500, clutch system, clutch master

Question
I cant get any pedal on the clutch system on my 1980 spit I have rebuilt the master and the slave cylinder(not the first time). Went to bleed system no luck tried by the book small hose half full jar one turn ,also with a suction pump built up suction pressed in clutch pedal released bleeder then tightened no luck. Is there another way to get pressure or do you think there is something else gone wrong (pressure plate throw out) ? Any help is good Thank you .

Answer
Raymond,

It seems a silly question... is there fluid in the clutch master reservoir and is the clutch master linkage hooked up?

Are you getting any fluid at all when you bleed the system?

If you disconnect the hydraulic hose at the master it should leak all the fluid out.. onto the firewall tray removing all the paint.  But it's a way to test if fluid is making it through the cylinder.

Same thing at the slave end.  If you loosen the hydraulic hose and pump the clutch what happens?  Fluid all over?  Or nothing?

Cheers,

Jim
