Triumph Repair: lucas alternator, lucas alternator, wellow

Question
I have a lucas 18acr alternator to install in a 1974 tr6. The wiring diagram is not clear about which wire to connect to which terminal on the alternator, and I have three wires, a large brown, a small brown and a small brown/yellow while the alternator has four terminals. I'm trying to find out the correct terminals to attach each wire to.
Thanks,
John

Answer
hi john, I don't have one to look at but I have a pretty good book. you should have a bigger brown wire that will only go one place because of the larger terminal. the book has 2 smaller terninals side by side then one lower. if you have the side by side the or near the big wire looks like the brown/wellow is close to it. it looks like it runs the red ignition light on the guage. the other one looks like it goes to a connector then to the starter and battery. the big one alone would probably work by it self. let me know if i can be more help.
