Triumph Repair: Rear lights and wiring, rear wheel arch, emergency flashers

Question
Yeee-ha. No more leaks from my carb with the addition of a little o-ring. Thanks.  Suppose you had a '74 1500 that had low beam and high beam lights, and all 4 emergency flashers...but the rear lights don't work. No brake lights, no rear running lights, no reverse light.  I look at the "nest" of wires jammed under the dash and I shudder.  Any recommendation, or idea, come to mind from your experience? (That's code for "is there some simple fuse I can replace to make it all work?")

Answer
Kevin,

The wiring harness for the rear of the car runs along the drivers side footwell (for US cars) and then in the drivers side rear wheel arch.  You might look to see if the previous owner had kicked the wires loose up in the footwell.  Or maybe disconnected the grounds in the trunk.  Or maybe there's been a freak occurrance and ALL the tail light light bulbs are burned out.  It can happen.

Cheers,

Jim
