Triumph Repair: I have a 74 TR6 that I have..., gas tank, distributor cap

Question
I have a 74 TR6 that I have rebuilt over the last two years.  The problem is, once the car is driven for about 10 minutes, and really warms up, when I stop for an intersection, the idle drops to a normal rpm, but then starts to stutter and drops off, the oil gage drops as well, to the point of the engine stalling.  I have pulled the oil pan, replaced the oil pump, replaced the coil and distributor cap, and last weekend I rebuilt both cabs and enriched the fuel.

The oil pressure runs at 75 when at speed, and when I first start the car it is at 50 when idling.

I am running out of ideas ... any suggestions?

Thanks

Answer
Mike, do you have new plugs and plug wires? they will cause a problem like that. the carb rebuild ... it sounds sort of like  the carbs are too rich. did you change the fuel filter? also if  the floats are bad or the float level is'nt right it will do that .the floats or dirt can cause the needle and seat to stay open and flood usually you can remove the air filters and see the gas pouring out of a hole thats put there for that reason. another thing is make sure the gas tank has good gas and no water in it. I hope something in all this helps. check back if it dosen't. David
