Answer
Richard,

Glad I've helped.

As to wiring diagrams.. I'll offer two suggestions.. with a caveat.

Haynes Motor books does a Spitfire manual that covers model years 1962-1980.. you can guess how well it covers every little change.  Copies pop up on Ebay for ridiculous prices... or you can try some of the chains like Pep Boys to see if they can order a copy for you.  Should be in the $12 to $18 range.

The Robert Bentley Motorbooks company does a great reprint of the original BL factory manual.  If memory serves (I'm too lazy tonight to dig up my copy!) you need the MK III-1500 manual that covers through the 1974 model year.  The Bentley Manuals were running in the $60 to $65 range the last time I looked.. but they are very complete and more specific.

Now the caveat.  The 1973 model year was one of many "transition" years for Triumph.  At best the wiring diagrams for most years are somewhat of a guide, rarely an absolute.

You can check with some of the suppliers on the Vintage Triumph Register homepage (www.vtr.org) or do searches with your favorite web search engine to find a supplier for the manual.
