Questionhello. s/type jaguar 4door saloon 3litre V6 model 1999. On drivers side rear indicator when turning right both indicator bulb and reverce bulb flash at the same time and faster tnan normal speed plus the rear passenger side indicator bulb as well as if I have my hazards on. front indicators work independently but drivers side front also faster than normal. Answer.the earth for the indicator, drivers side rear is not contacting.
you need to clean up all the connections to the rear clusters (both of them)
(since one part is already corroded, the rest wont be too far behind, follow this and you should be trouble free)
basically unplug and unbolt the clusters from the car (10mm spamnner I **think**).
Then, firstly clean the connectors from the car - fine sandpaper should do, the contacts are small so you'll have to persevere with the sandpaper, maybe wrap some round a jewellers screwdriver..
Once those connectors are clean move onto the clusters.
Clean the clusters connector in the same way.
Then, remove every bulb from the clusters and.. you guessed it - clean the contacts in the bulb holders and clean the contacts on the bulbs too.
once all the contacts in the cluster system are shiny, dab a little grease on everything you just cleaned, refit, reconnect and happy motoring.
