UK Car Repair: Vauxhall vectra fault, vauxhall vectra, rev counter

Question
Hi
I have a vauxhall vectra 1800cc petrol  design  2006 (56)
When driving home today my speedo, rev counter, fuel gage and mileage all stopped working . Everything else in the car works radio , internal lights work .
Headlights , break lights  , indicators all work but does not show on the dashboard that they are on . Can you shed any light on what the problem could be and how it could be fixed . I have looked at fuses and they all look ok

Answer
* Is the car still under warranty?.... * (Leave off, return to dealer)

If not under warranty or warranty "useless" continue.

1. Any error codes shown on the odometer with key at I,II,etc?

2. Pull the fuses for the dash and refit them, try it now - could be crashed computer.
 {try removing the battery +lead for 5 seconds if this doesn't work}

3..... :/ hmmm   - Run the engine at night and turn on the lights, are the lights pulsing brighter and dimmer?? - If so the regulator(in the alternator circuit) has failed (incorrect or pulsing voltages can trip out or damage the instruments) - fit new regulator, check for return of cluster operation. ->bad regulator maybe damage other circuits<- and lead to more than 1 repair being neccessary.

4. ooof....  the last vauxhall cluster fault I encountered was caused by a damaged connector to the back of the instrument cluster, caused in turn by fitting a new stereo somewhat haphazardly - has anything been "done" to the car recently, anything??

5. What was the weather/were the ride conditions like leading upto, just before and at the time of the cluster failure

Do the tests/operations, answer the questions. :)
