UK Car Repair: opel astra fog lights, rear fog lights, opel astra elegance

my opel astra elegance rear fog lights are not working. The dash light comes on but nothing at back. Fuses seem fine, bulbs too. Any suggestions?

As far as I know the foglights are at least 30 watts each, so probably work from a relay,
when you flick the switch you should hear this relay clicking - I'd try replacing that relay (about £5),

Also check the wiring to the foglights, there is an earth bolted to the body in the vicinity of the foglights, trace the wires to this earth and unbolt it from the body, clean the contacts with emery/sandpaper/nail file etc and refit tightly, dab a little grease on the contacts to keep them from corroding again.

Also check the bulbs, the contacts on the bulbs can also corrode in the same way, and also the connectors in the bulb holder, all can be cleaned with a little emery and a dab of grease keeps them clean for longer.
