UK Car Repair: Cracked crank... Again!, thrust washers, boring detail

Question
I have an 04 Renault master 2.5 dci (G9U) the crank cracked at the first big end (from flywheel) upon investigation i could find no reason for this at all, so re-built bottom end, new shells seals etc, time taken to do a good job, the only items not replaced were the thrust washers as they are within limits (they are 2.33 mm should be between 2.3 2.5)
started engine turned 1st time ran sweet, very steady revs smooth.
Then took it out on the road, within 1000 yards crank cracked again!! could have cried...
the clutch is a boring standard clutch (not dual mass).

Can you help, i have asked so many people (engine rebuilders, motor engineers etc.. no joy)

I do not want to buy a new lump as i cant be sure that is the engine..

the only thing I can come up with is... when clutch i pressed could this bring the flywheel in contact with block (didn't feel anything) but just enough to crack it?.... just a thought...

Answer
Can you show me a picture of this snapped crank, and the first one?

Plus
What EXACTLY, in boring detail, happened leading upto both crank snappings?

Did you check the engine spun freely after rebuild before starting?

To know if the flywheel hit the block you;ll have to take the flywheel off and check the back of it for damage.
