UK Car Repair: Manual aaaaaaelectric windows, vauxhall vectra, electric knowledge

Question
Is it possible to change my manual windows to Electric windows on a Vauxhall Vectra 97.

Answer
Yes, it is possible, it's a fair bit of work - I dont know if you can use the original glass either, the electric windows regulators might have a different fitting.

Generally you need to:

Modify the fusebox so it sends power out for the windows,
Wire 4 sets of cables to the fusebox into each door,
Replace the manual winder with the electric regulator,
Take out the door cards and fit door cards from an EW model that don't have a hole for the winder.
Fit the bittons and switches to each door.

Best done with a donor car, It will take 2 hours per door for a pro, and upto a day per door and 2 days to fit the looms for an amateur and about 6 months for a novice (and the car will set on fire at least ten times)

You need the manual, ( I can get this if you can tell me what OHMs Law is, otherwise I don't trust you can do it safely)

- you need electric knowledge or it can go very wrong.
