UK Car Repair: Electrical Problem, rover 800, electrical problem

Hi! I have a "P" registered Rover 800. I have only the key to unlock the car. When I unlock the car the horn sounds one slight beep and when I go to start the car there is nothing at all happening. I think it might be a problem with the alarm system although I am far from being an expert as I know how to drive them but not fix them. Any help would be grateful. Thank you

Hi Ged, you should have one of these I beleive;

You should have got it with the car and it CANNOT be disarmed without it.
Check the usual places like ebay and such but it will have to be coded to the vehicle by a technician. - Hope this helps you- Paul
