UK Car Repair: starting problem with vauxhall astra, vauxhall astra, cracked pipe

my astra 1.4i automatic tansmission will start first time but it cuts out when i stop revving engine and it takes about 20 minutes before i can start it again if. i have found a cracked pipe on top right hand side of the inlet manifold. air filter, inlet manifold and injectors have been checked changed and cleaned.

Hi Simon, did you repair the cracked pipe you found? A couple of questions for you 1. when it starts again will it continue to run?
2.do you have any orange lights on on the dashboard(engine with a lightning flash through it)? 3.When it does run does it mis-fire or skip ? If you can answer these questions I will be in a better position to help you - thanks Paul
