UK Car Repair: cololant flush, vauxhall opel, opel vectra

Hi, i live in Australia and we have just brought a Holden/Vauxhall/Opel Vectra cd 2002 model. the coolant is all sludgy and appears to be just water. i was wondering if you could walk me through ho to flush it out and refill. thankyou!

The typical "back flush" is done by using a hose to force water through the system backwards. To do this you need to remove the thermostat and rig up hose fittings allowing you to do it without making a big mess.  There are also solvents you can buy which are added to the coolant then after running the engine you simply drain it out.
