QUESTION: my citroen zx indicator keeps clicking when turned off.sound comes from under steering wheel

ANSWER: Are the lights flashing or is it just clicking, and do the indicators work normally otherwise?

QUESTION: the indicators work fine but carry on clicking at a faster but intermittent rate when turned off.sometimes turning the indicator on/off will stop the problem for a short while.the indicators work as normal when required ie flash ,turn on/off they only click when in the off position.

It is very odd,I can only think that the control module has a fault. Perhaps you could take off the dash lower panel and actually feel which unit is clicking and remove it. You can then see how much a new one is.  Regards ps, does operting the emergency indicators have any affect?
