UK Car Repair: Astra liftback latch jammed, foot pressure, emergency release

I have a 2000 Astra 4-dr liftback. The liftback is jammed shut. Cannot be lifted. have tried the key, the remote..everything...any suggestions gratefully received.

This is a difficult problem as there is no emergency release. The best I can offer is to have someone lie in behind the hatch and apply foot pressure (no shoes) to it while you try opening with the key.  Otherwise you need to get into the lock release mechanism.
