UK Car Repair: 2001 jaguar window, obd scanner, xk8

have a 2001 xk8 conv., when you open the door window goes down to miss top, now it goes down but won't go back up when i close door

This could be tricky to find, First check ALL fuses, if OK, the problem is most likely in the raise switch in the drivers door. BUT, this switch is activated from the ECU also in the drivers door.  Unless you have some electrical skill it might be better to have someone test it with an OBD scanner.
