UK Car Repair: FF24 code, P I fuse blows, Battery drains, coolant temp, pressure test

Question
Hello,  I have 1993 Jag XJ6 (V6) purchased used in 2004 with 99,0000 miles and today in 2007 has 119,000 miles because of a couple of recurring problems which inhibit driving.  Many repairs later, problems still repeat.  Any ideas on the following clues?

Separate recurring problems since 2004 that somehow seem connected.

1)  Worst problem: Problems starting, often sputters and dies on start up.  Sometimes dies when pulling out of parking spot. If I can get and hold the RPMs above 10K, once it gets running, she runs okay.
The more the jag is driven, the worse the startups become.  Have to start using Jump Starts even though the battery and alternator are good to go.
The P.I. fuse blew and was replaced last week.
This week finally on the last drive got CHECK ENG light and FF24 code.   This is a repeat code of past years and jag shop did something to fix it temporarily, but it keeps coming back. They have since left town so I can't ask them specifics.

2) Prior owner installed a radio.  If the radio is powered on when the car is turned off, even though the radio led “goes off” when car is turned off, the next morning the battery has been drained.  Have to use a Jump Start on car. Learned to keep the radio off.

Last Jag shop- Spark plugs and wires replaced.  O2 Sensor replaced. The fuel pressure test was fine.  Alternator charges perfectly.  Battery is great (replaced twice before I learned it wasn’t the battery).  I love my car, but I don’t know how to fix it and multiple repair shop visits have not found the problem.  I am at the last repair shop I can afford and they are not Jag specialists like the last shop.  Any ideas I can give them?

Thank you.

Answer
The car needs to be worked on by7 someone who ha a knowledge of it!  The starting problem seems to be related to temperature, I would first suspect the coolant temp sensor - not the Temp sender for the gauge.  The cold start problem could be this also. The radio is  a simple fix for someone. These cars are rather unpopular as they were troublesome from day one. That being said many have given good service but it is hard to find someone to troubleshoot them.
