UK Car Repair: 1974 Jensen Interceptor cutting out, jensen interceptor, mr brady

Mr. Brady,

My boss has had his Jensen completely rebuilt and it worked wonderfully.

After we had it repainted and the seats upholstered, now it "cuts out".  It
does it with no rhyme or reason - engine can be hot, cold or in between.  
After it sits 2 or 3 minutes, it cranks back up.

He's replaced the Magnetic Pickup but the problem still exists....any
suggestions?

One of my favourite cars. It seems to have electronic ignition, does it, and what make?  The symptom is typical of an ignition fault.  You replaced the pick up but the problem is more likely to be in the amplifier, I would suggest, providing all else is sound -connections adjustments etc- replacing the complete unit.
