UK Car Repair: Astra H SXI pulling, vauxhall astra, douche bags

Question
I have recently bought a Vauxhall Astra H 2005 55 plate SXI, which from day one has pulled to the left. Having taken it back twice they say its a camber sensative issue but on a road with little camber it stills pulls violently to the left. Also when going at speeds over 70mph the steering wheel shakes.

Is there more of a problem then they say?

Answer
Camber sensitive my left nut! Take it to a real shop and get it fixed. Have the repair documented and then bring the bill to the original douche bags and tell them if you do not receive full reimbursement for the repairs and time lost your next call will be to a lawyer.

If they do not respond to this you can then hire a lawyer to call them and request a meeting to discuss the matter. It usually doesn’t go any further than that and they will cave. Make sure to include legal fees in the amount you request.

I suggest you have them explain the "camber sensitive" issue to you before you get mean about it. Make sure you have an I Pod that can record or a mini tape recorder present to capture it. Just hint, put headphones on it and use a lanyard to hang it round your neck under a thin tee shirt. That way it is easy to pick up a clear, distinguishable voice that can be identified easily.

The car is probably in need of a front end alignment or may even have a broken spring, bent tire rod, or defective tire.
Move with haste because it is not safe to drive like this.

John
