Volkswagen Repair: Installing window regulator kit in Volkswagen 98 Beetle, window regulator, taking the time

The clip on my window regulator broke and I was attempting to fix it but the kit I bought from volkswagen is either missing a cable that connects one window clip to the other or I'm just wiring the cables wrong. Should my kit have come with a cable that wasn't attached to the cable take-out reel? Thank you for taking the time to help me.

You have to be more specific and detailed. I don't know whether you are talking about a electrical part or a mechanical part. What clip where? What does it do? What is it made of ? One thing is for sure, you should call the dealer to find out what comes in their parts.
