Volkswagen Repair: GLOW PLUG IND LIGHT AND HEADLIGHT, oxnard st, van nuys ca

I own a 2001 VW Beetle turbo diesel,  The glow plug indicator light just came on in my car and continues to flash on and off.  It does not seem to effect the starting or the running of the car, do I have a glow plug problem?
Also the passenger side headlight has gone out, I have read several questions about this, what I would like to know is what do I need to remove to enable easier access to the headlight?

You can access the headlight by pulling on a lever right next to the headlight. You don't have to remove anything. If the car is not new, the lever is going to be a little hard to engage. How many miles on the Bettle? Check the glow plug fuses, and if there is alot of miles on the car, replace the glow plugs. The glow plugs do wear out over time.
