Volkswagen Repair: 2002 VW Jetta 1.8T Fuel Injector Problems, fuel injector problems, vw jetta

We have had 3 engine failures with our new 02 VW Jetta in 3 years. The first problem occured when the car was 11 months old and it was the ignition coils. The following year, the fuel injector failed, and this week the fuel injector failed again. Do you know of other Jettas with similar problems or do you know if VW has recalled these models or extended the warranty?We are very disappointed with this car and will have to trade in for a Honda before the warranty expires next year. Thanks for your help.

Diane, thank you for your question.  I have not seen anything of recalls of the fuel injectors.  But, I have seen many people having problems with the 2002 Jetta.  You might want to check the Lemon Law in your state http://www.lemonlawamerica.com/ .  you are having too many problems for the vehicle not to be a possible lemon.
