Volkswagen Repair: Thermostat location, vw jetta, electric fans

I don't know if you would know this answer or not or could point me in the right direction, I have a VW Jetta 1.8T and I need to know where the thermostat is located.  Do you happen to know?

Lisa, thank you for your question.  I can tell you a couple of places to look but I am not certain as to the exact location.  Usually the thermostat is located either at the hose neck that connects to the engine.  Or in the case of a vehicle equipped with electric fans, it is located in the radiator (is actually a sensor that sends a signal to a relay for the fan to turn on and off)
