Volkswagen Repair: intake airboot/hose, car stalls, hoses

My intake boot was missing a hose. Used a dummy hose temporarily. Car passed smog with dummy hose. Car stalls, shuts off when idoled and when air is on. Can not properly I.D. hose. Can you?

Monica, thank you for your question.  without knowing the year and model, knowing the ID of the hose would be a complete guess.  those hoses can be from 1/16 to 7/16 on average.  if you can tell me the model, year, and engine size would be a great help.
