Volkswagen Repair: 95 Golf wont start in morning, air vacuum, rubber boot

Question
I have a 95 Golf that won't start in the morning.  The problem began 3 months ago.  I changed all plugs, wires, filters, rotor and cap and that seemed to fix the problem because didn't happen again.  However, after a long road trip this weekend it produced this problem again.  It only does it during the first start of the day.  Subsequent starts are fine-no problem at all.  There is spark to all wires.  There is some spark coming off the coil.  There is air vacuum at the intake.  The only thing that hasn't been confirmed is if fuel is getting in.  The car does not stall.  Once you get it past the first start, it starts the first time right away for the rest of the day.  Suggestions?  Thanks.

Answer
Rick,
Sorry to say but I don't know a whole lot about these late model VWs. I'd look for something that has to do with the cold start system, either a bad cylinder temp. sensor or possibly a clogged or dirty fifth injector (cold start valve). You could try spraying a little starting fluid in the rubber boot (intake) and see if it starts...if it does, that would indicate a no fuel condition. Start with that and see how it goes. I wish I could be more helpful on this! Good Luck!
