Volkswagen Repair: 1965 Volkswagen Microbus, volkswagen microbus, king pin

Dear Mr.Mark,
I am an owner of 1965 Volkswagen Microbus and I like to change my carcass{shassis}(i think that is the word for the base of the car linking the wheels the left and the right ones and the front with the rear). I would like to know what matches with this type of microbus,I mean the year of the another microbus so I'll know what to search for.

I'm not sure what your actual question is but I think you're trying to upgrade your drivetrain to make it more drivable in today's world.
