Volkswagen Repair: exhaust manifold gasket replacement, human advice, hr job

Question
I have a 1972 Bus and I need to replace the exhaust manifold gasket.  What's my best plan of Attack.  I have the How to Keep Your VW Alive book, but I would like some human advice as well.  Can you help?

Answer
Original equipment?  Get some extra 10 mm bolts and 13 mm nuts.  Having a torch to heat things up would be good(if you are so unlucky and things are rusted tight).  If you are lucky and everything comes off nicely a 2 hr job.  If you break bolts then all day (to drill out the stud and replace)
Put "neverseize" type gunk on the threads when reinstalling.  It can be done if you got the tools (stay metric no imperial subs here) Oh, yeah, do make sure your engine is ice cold(overnight off) before working on it.  Slightly warm is no good except for your fingers.  LoL
