Volvo Repair: 98 v70 obd codes, sway bar bushings, control arm bushings

Question
Hi I just got the codes read on my 98 v70 crosscountry.  p0116 engine coolant temp ckt range/perf.  I did notice a small antifreeze drip front passenger side of radiator. Temp gauge is reading in the middle of the scale.( seems o.k.) I also go a p0410 code. Secondary air injection system malfunction????.  One other question.  When I accelerate ( only from a complete stop) I hear a creaking in the front of the car.  1-2 second creak. Then it is gone.

Answer
Nick, three seperate issues here. P0116 is usually a bad sensor, wire or connector.
P0410 is usually a bad divertor valve or check valve in the secondary air system. Testing required.
That creaking is, usually in this order, bad sway bar bushings, bad ball joint, Spring rubbing against perch, control arm bushings, a strut problem or loose subframe mounts. Have a pro check it out.
