Volvo Repair: Car will not combust when turning., gas regulator, bell housing

Question
I have a 99 Volvo turbo 740 (sw). Wife drove home & would not start afterwards. Gets gas, gets spark (replaced spark plugs just in case. Laded sparks P on valve cover, in sinc.)(I also have 86 740 non turbo) I swapped coil, ignition module, tested gas regulator with diaphragm tester & held vacuum. Checked timing (6 month old belt) manually, with screwdriver in 1 cylinder DTC valve mark and lobs up. I used start fluid & it would not combust(strange). Disconcert pump fuse but after put in then turn key like it wants to start then back off. The only thing not tested the porcelain resister (4 of them together side wall)(my other 86 don't have it). The control unit(my other different number). Haven't checked compression or disconnect exhausted to check for clog catyalic. I have knowledge, work on my own but I'm stump on this one & I hate to by parts & find that's not it. It's all you now.

Answer
Marco, dont bother with the porcelain pack.  Has nothing to do with starting issues.  Did you check fuel relay and suppression relay?  How about the impulse sensor on the bell housing? Im assuming you meant 89 740T.  Did you check injector pulse.  You gave me good info but not thorough enough.  Roger
