Volvo Repair: 850 turbo 1994--meaning of flashes from obd 1 codes?, obd 1 codes

HI and thanks so much for your expertise: I don't know how to read the code
and I have both the check engine and SRS icons on and want to first READ them
and then CLEAR them if i can--thanks!!

Andrew.  Put the pin in number 2, turn key on and hold button down for 5-10 seconds.  Now count the flashes. after the code is read, example, 1-2-1, then push the button again for 5 and the next code will read, keep doing this until you get back to the first code that was read.  To clear, hold button for 10 seconds, wait until the light is on steady, now hold it for another 10 seconds and codes are clear.  Do this with each number you want to read.  Roger
