Volvo Repair: 2005 Volvo S40 T5 AWD Loss of boost, volvo specialist, 2005 volvo s40

I just bought this car.  83K miles.  Car just started having problems.  Every time I hit the gas car takes off like he** then cuts out.  Think it occurs around 3500RPM.  After that car has no power.  Turn the key off and then on and it is back to normal until I hit the gas again.  Any ideas?  Car seems solid.  Are they Junk?

Ray, those are definately not Junk.  Unfortunately this problem is something that needs to be scanned at the dealer or Volvo specialist shop.  It could be anything and only a scan will determine what it is.  May be a module issue or throtle problem.  No way to tell without a diagnostics test.  Roger
