Volvo Repair: volvo 87 clutch repair, volvo 240 wagon, clutch repair

Question
Hi, i own a ´87  volvo 240 wagon, and have this squeal when depressing the clutch pedal. I already talked to a place where they overhaul all components, which I think is best as these are original parts, they also grease the bearings.
I need help concerning the dismantling procedure and possible difficulties on the way.

Thank you very much!

Answer
Peter, I dont do step by step instruction but I can give you some pointers.  Take the drive shaft down from the back of the trans and at the bearing cushion.  Remove the shifter.  You need to remove the holding pin and take the snap ring off from the shifter up top.  Remove the clutch cable from the trans and let it hang.  The rest is pretty much remove bolts and take trans out.  Roger
