Volvo Repair: 88 volvo 240 dl turn signals not working, volvo 240 dl, replacement fuses

QUESTION: hello.  my 88 vovlo 240 dl turn signals do not operate when i try to use them.  
they just stopped working.  the 4 way flashers still operate and the lights light
up.  what could be causing this?  thank you.

ANSWER: Casey, check the turn signal fuse first.  The hazards are on a separate circuit.  May also be the relay.  Roger

QUESTION: the fuses seem to be fine.  i ordered replacement fuses for the whole box
anyways.  replaced the turn signal relay.  nothing yet.  what other ideas do you
have for me to check out?  thank you!

Casey, Ive seen the bulb failure unit go bad for the brake lights but never on the turn signals.  The actual Hazard relay may have a section burnt out.  Without doing a few tests on the car, I would only be guessing and dont want to send you on a goose chase.  Roger
