Volvo Repair: Vovlo S60 T5, volvo s60 t5, fuel gauge

Hi there. I have a 2001 Volvo S60 T5 and had it in for replacement of the fuel pump and after that the fuel gauge doesn't show full tank even when it is full. Only show half. Haven't been back to the service yet since it's a long drive. Can i solve the problem by take off the battery cable and put it back on again or do i have to go back??? It worked as it should before the replacement... Thank you. Stefan...

Stefan, nope, sorry, not that simple.  Whoever replaced the pump didnt install the float correctly.  You need to call them and arrange for them to refix it.  Half the car on half a tank of gas so you can get in and out quickly or else they need to drain the tank and it takes a while to do that.  Roger
