Volvo Repair: Volvo V70 Auto Transmission issues, transmission repair shop, volvo v70

84,000 on this Automatic 4 speed car. When stopped in traffic, the idle speed will fluctuate, AC off. Then I'll take put it in Neutral in it idles fine, @ 4.5K.

Shifting funny at times too! Had fluids changed at 48K miles. Can this use a shot of Tranny repair fluid? Where do you add it?

  Dick, idle fluctuations are NOT a function of the transmission. Vacumm leak is most likely.
  There is no magic fluid. Do NOT put additives into the transmission. The level is checked through the speedometer transmitter. You pull it out and check the fluid level there. Take it to a QUALIFIED transmission repair shop or the dealer and have it checked out. Do NOT take it to a chain store/franchise as they will only sell you a flush and fill.
