Volvo Repair: Volvo S40 2001 heat/AC blower & Headlamps, volvo s40, light bulbs

Question
I have 2 questions. 1) 2001 Volvo S40 I have been replacing both low beam head light bulbs frequently. They seem to last 10 to 12 months. So I am replacing one every 5 to 6 months. I have been purchasing them from NAPA.
2) Same Volvo S40 2001: When using the fan control knob, whether set at auto or selection 1 thru 5, the motor goes on and off with no consistency. Sometimes it will work for 1 to minutes then turn off, then back on in a few seconds then off again in a few seconds. Very inconsistant.
Thank You in advance for your help.

Answer
Ray, Since the lights are on all the time, its normal to be changing bulbs frequently.  I guess Volvo is in with the bulb companies so the customer can buy bulbs all the time.  As far as the blower, I see this on a monthly basis and unfortunately its the A/C control head that is the problem.  Roger
