Volvo Repair: volvo c70 ragtop, volvo c70, independent volvo

hi, ive got an 04 c70 ragtop and am having a problem with the roof, even tho the roof is up the light on the switch flashes and a chime is audible when driving. i have took it to a volvo dealer who cant say what the problem is as there is no fault codes to read. i have read of a few problems like this but cant find out any answers as to how to repair it. would be grateful if you have any answers. thanks brian.

Brian, must be a crappy Volvo dealer.  The top needs to be recalibrated.  Doesnt need to have a fault code.  Obviously there is an issue with either the potientiometer or one of the microswitches.  If you have another dealer that is close to you, go to them or an independent Volvo shop that has the proper scan tool to calibrate the roof.  Roger
