Volvo Repair: 1989 volvo waterpump, turbo volvo, 10mm socket

I have to replace waterpump on 1989 turbo volvo. Is it very difficult, do I need special tools, do I have to mess with timing belt is it located behind fan. any suggestions are welcomed

Patrick, They are fairly easy.  Just a 10mm socket and wrench.  No special tools and you just have to remove the top cover for the timing belt. The timing belt will not interfere with the pump replacement.  Buy a Hepu pump or GMB.  Stay away from rebuilt junk from the auto parts places.  Roger
