Volvo Repair: 2001 V70 Volvo wagon interior door handle, v70 volvo, volvo wagon

Interior door handle won't operate. Outside works normally. I removed the interior panel and noticed the cable and plastic clip had slipped out.  Reinstalled and worked until it slipped out again a day later.  What part requires replacement? Does the cable come with a new clip? Any DIY fixes?  Many thanks!  Scott

  Scott, DIY, depends how "resourcefull" you are. VBG I suspect a problem in the latch itself. Does it require a lot of force to release? Does anything look bent or out of alignment? Does the hole look worn or "hogged" out. Try pulling the passenger door panel for comparison of "normal"?
