Volvo Repair: 1989 740gl brakes, brake pads and rotors, genuine volvo

My 89 740gl has sqeaky  brakes. I have tried different stuff from the auto parts store, but nothing works. The brake pads and rotors are 2 months old. driving me crazy.Do you have any ideas? thanks,

  Ahhh, my absolute favorite. It took me years and lots of trial and error to figure this out reliably. Use only Balo or genuine Volvo rotors. Clean well prior to install. Then lube the caliper guides and sliders and be sure they are moving freely. Lastly, only, only, only. Genuine Volvo brake pads period. They're "special"

   Being where you are right now, I would try cleaning the rotors and buff with a scotchbrite like disc. Lube up the calipers.(May require disassembly) and install new Volvo pads. Then say a prayer to your preferred deity and hope.

Mark
